The lucky guest was in town to catch Sunday’s football game between Las Vegas and Kansas City, and was staying at Boyd Gaming’s The Orleans Hotel and Casino. The largest Strip jackpot remains the 39 million bounty that a person won at Excalibur. After playing on the machine for just seven minutes, she hit the jackpot of $1,025,602 on a two-dollar wager. IGT has paid more than 1 billion in progressive jackpots since they became a Las Vegas staple in the 1980s.

The local resident, who requested to remain anonymous, was playing Wheel of Fortune Double Diamond on Tuesday, Nov. A lucky guest from Hawai’i tested her luck at Boyd Gaming’s Main Street Station Casino Brewery Hotel on Tuesday, November 16, and won a million-dollar jackpot on an IGT’s Wheel of Fortune ® slots, the first major jackpot to hit at Main Street since it reopened on September 8.
